{Giving Thanks}

I don't always take the time to reflect on ALL that I am thankful for so, I am grateful for this time of year that gives me reason to ponder my blessings. I won't be posting a list but I truly am blessed. We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving in Arizona and hope your Thanksgiving holiday was fabulous as well.

{Things you might learn from the "Twilight" experience}

Do people really believe this stuff?????

Screaming girls drive me crazy! Thank goodness I have a houseful of boyz. Did I just say that?

If you’re over 40, wearing a “Team Edward” shirt is just wrong. And probably illegal. Now “Team Carlisle”- that IS a good idea.

White face make up doesn’t make you look like a vampire. It just looks like you have on way too much under eye concealer - all over the place. Next time, blend at the jawbone, please.

By Cullen standards, I am a vegetarian.

Take pillows, blankets & things to do if you’ll be waiting hours upon hours for your movie. The private screening was so much better!

Carlisle is a wonderful father and knows how to keep the family together for an important cause. And his “children” really do show him respect. I wonder how many hundreds of years that took.

Vampires ARE real. And really strong. And really fast.

Girls are just a lot of trouble. (what Jake learned)

Stone cold marble lips sure look soft and supple to me.

Oh, you know those people that shop at Wal-Mart and you don’t know where they came from because they aren’t your neighbors? Well, they also go to the midnight show.

A tight shirt and tight jeans still doesn’t look good on a chubby girl. Did you hear me? A TIGHT SHIRT AND TIGHT JEANS STILL DOESN’T LOOK GOOD ON A CHUBBY GIRL!

A short shirt and leggings still doesn’t look good on a chubby girl. Did you hear me? A SHORT SHIRT AND LEGGINGS STILL DOESN’T LOOK GOOD ON A CHUBBY GIRL! I don’t care if the leggings are plaid and the shirt says something about Edward, I think!!! It doesn’t work!

I’m sure I wouldn’t choose to see this on my own free will and choice, would I? I was a chaperone. I was a chaperone. I was a chaperone. And I’ll be a chaperone the next time, too ;D

{Twilight}

SAW IT (premiere) ! LOVED IT!
Seeing it again tonight at 12:01. I guess that is really tomorrow!

I was ready to be disappointed but much to my surprise the screenplay was as true to the book as you can fit into 120 minutes. Parts were a little cheezy for me but it didn't take too long to get caught up in the story - much as I did with the book.
I wondered how the special effects of Edward "in the sun" would be and although I thought the glistening looked a little furry for some reason, it worked. I am a true Edward fan (book) but wasn't too much a fan of his hair. BUT, I am, however, a huge fan of Carlisle played by Peter Facinelli. Jennie Garth, you lucky girl!
If you liked the book, I believe you will like the movie & watch for Stephenie's cameo appearance. Finally, just like waiting for the release of the books in the Twilight series, I anxiously await the next movie!

{AND THE WINNER IS....}

The "D" Kr3W!

Thomas began the winning streak by taking 1st place in the inline freestyle competition at the sk8 park. He won this trophy and a $25 gift card to Target.
Sam took 3rd in his division in the sk8 comp and thought he should have placed better because of his better use of the whole sk8 park and landing all of his tricks. He still got a trophy & $10 to Target.
Other winners at the sk8 comp were Isaac - free pizza at Pizza Factory, Thomas - 4 movie passes, Sam - lots of stickers & Adam - dinner for 2 at ShoGun (a japanese teppan restaurant) worth $40. Then, last week, when David, Aaron, the two little boyz and I went to have lunch at El Pollo Loco, we were the customers of the day and got our entire meal and dessert for free. (I did a WooHoo for all to hear!) It was about $35 worth of food! We had our discount card & wouldn't have paid that much and we certainly wouldn't have ordered dessert.
We usually don't win anything so it has been a fun couple of weeks for us.
Wooo Hooo for the "D Kr3W!
