{THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY of Christmas 2007}

{THE GOOD}
It was so wonderful to have all of our kidz home for Christmas. We also had David's parents with us. Sunday Lisa & Brian and kidz and Ryan, Kylie & Sadie came for dinner & family fun when we played "SANTA" and had great prizes? Fun was had by all.

{THE BAD}
We found out Christmas Eve that Dutchess has Lymphosarcoma. It is too far along to do much about it and the Vet gives her 3-6 weeks to live. We are giving her medication to help lesson the swelling of the lymph glands and she is enjoying taking the medication with cheese and lunch meat. We are all very sad because she has been care-taker and protector of the boyz for over 9 years. She has done some amazing things for our family and will be greatly missed. At least we have some time to say goodbye and we are grateful to have it.

{THE UGLY}

It is sometimes mind-boggling what your children do and this is up at the top of my list with the things you just have to ask "WHY?????" "Why did you have to put BLACK waterproof mascara on your wanna-be mustache and lip patch hair and walk around ALL DAY looking like you should be wearing a sombrero and striped poncho, Ricardo Suave?" It's just plain loco feo if you ask me! But what do I know? I'm just the MoM!

Oh Kelly, I'm so sorry to hear about Dutchess! She had such a happy life with your cute family. Glad you had a nice Christmas. I have to agree about Aaron, what's that about?!

Si, Aaron es muy loco pero el es su hijo, so como no?

So so sorry to hear about Duchess, but Mom will be there to welcome her to heaven.

The scumstash is killing me! What a great family photo! I can't get any of my kids to look at the camera when I take their picture.

Sorry about Duchess. It's so hard to lose a much loved pet.

That IS a GOOD family picture! Great that you were all able to be together!

That really is some BAD news about Duchess...I'm so sorry! Nice that she can eat cheese, lunch meat, and get some good medication to make her feel good in the process...what a great, happy, humane way to go!!

And lastly, yes, the mustachio is a little UGLY in a teenage boy will-do-anything-to-bug-my-mom kinda way!!:)
