{Oh, Christmas Tree(s)}

Here are some Christmas trees we are enjoying this year.

THE FAMIY FAVORITE:

The ever popular jewelry Christmas tree that Mom made.

I think everyone in the family has one.

The regular tree chalk full of every ornament

the kids (and Mom) want to stuff on it.

(sorry about the blurry pic)

The rustic, metal, wood, anything distressed tree.The turquoise & white tree, decorated to match

a really cute side table I just painted.MY PERSONAL FAVORITE-The MOM tree:

This idea began when a good friend gave me an ornament in honor of my Mom. It is a silver angel holding a dove which said "peace". She remembered that I had told her of the release of the doves at my moms funeral. I was so touched and decided to make a tree honoring my Mom. I framed some pictures of my Mom from Christmases past and hung them with silver ribbon. I also hung a silver dove, some silver snowmen (her Christmas favorite) and some tinsil. To finish it we all hung our icicle ornaments that Mom was making to give us this Christmas. It is our very special Christmas tree to honor a very special lady.

Kelly--I love them all. No wonder you didn't do Christmas cards--you've been busy. I think this is "card" enough. Nothing says Merry Christmas like showing your love for someone else.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful trees.

Kelly: I am so impressed by your tributes to Mom. I choke up everytime I think of your trees. You are so giving and capable and loving. This has not been a good Christmas without Mom, but you have made it a little easier. Lony you so much. Merry Christmas, Dad

Love you so much. I don't even know what lony you so much means, but if it is good I have that for you too.

Your blog posts are so enjoyable, Kelly, and usually bring tears to my eyes. This post is my favorite by far. The jewelry tree your Mom made has a place of honor in our home - I love ours. Your MOM tree is fantastic - what a beautiful idea. We wish you and your family a peaceful, safe & healthy new year. Love, Mary
