{ROSS Boycot...Again!}

Why is it that just about every time I go to Ross I have trouble with something or someone. I haven't been there in months and months since the last episode in which I called corporate twice, emailed customer service and complained both to area and regional supervisors but after today's visit, I will NEVER,NEVER, NEVER shop there again! On the 17th I purchased a pair of really cute shoes for a really great price. When I went to put them on for church Sunday I found the buckle to be broken. So, I took them back but they wouldn't return them because they looked worn. The customer service employee said they don't return used merchandise. If they were used, I bought them used. I didn't even get a chance to USE them. He said I probably got them mixed up with another pair of shoes I have at home and brought back the wrong ones. I then told him that I don't lie, cheat or steal and these WERE the shoes I bought the other day. I am not a liar! He said he didn't call me a liar. Well, YES HE DID but not in those exact words. We went back and forth about me being or not being a liar. I got loud, very loud and pretty worked up. He said "there are cameras here and you better calm down". Why would I care about some stupid cameras? My voice cracked and tears started to well up in my eyes, but then ANGER took over and the tears were gone. At that moment, Aaron and Jake flew to my side to be my heroes. The acting manager stepped in and after some unkind words from her, she said they would return the shoes. I had the tags and receipt to prove everything, I don't know why Ross employees always have to be such #@*&%$'s! ( I don't cuss either but I couldn't think of the right word). I calmed down after the kid said he would make me leave the store if I didn't stop yelling and he wouldn't return my stuff. So, I didn't talk to him anymore because I wanted my money back so I don't ever have to go back. And I NEVER will!

Oh no! Now David may understand why I react this way occasionally. Must run in the family. He used to think it happened only when I was pregnant. I occasionally go to Ross, but mostly for dresses. I much prefer Marshall's. Sorry you were treated so poorly, but your story reads really funny. The part about you bringing in the wrong shoes was a hoot! You go girl!

I had a similar incident in Costco. But I can't boycott that place, it's my second home.

I made a huge deal of the whole thing like you did--customer service, corporate, letter to manager...

Good for you for sticking to your guns--thank goodness you didn't have one :)

Are you kidding me? What happened to the customer always being right? You had a receipt and even if they had been worn--they know what kind of shoes they sell at that place. . . I hope that all this bad publicity was worth the $25.00 shoes.

I know that a lot of people are dishonest, but when you get the lame policies and are treated like you are one of them it is really annoying!
